Maryland military facility eliminates key-related after-hour calls and decreases resident lockouts with the implementation of an advanced self-service system that is fully compatible with existing Kaba security access platform.
It is less than 1 year ago since we launched a new self-service concept at Comfort Xpress Oslo and Comfort Xpress Tromsø in Norway. This “next generation” online and iPad check-in & out solution was developed in co-operation between Ariane Systems, Cenium and Marcello under the leadership of Nordic Choice IT.
The project has been a great success from day 1 and so far, thousands of guests have checked themselves in and out of the hotel, either online or using the neat iPads in the reception. The convenience of online check-in, payment and keycard creation on the iPads in the lobby hasn’t gone unnoticed by the guests. Look at some of these amazing quotes taken from TripAdvisor:
“Amazing technology and comfortable hotel. After we learn how to, it was great. Not many people working there but everybody so helpful and smiling…”
“…Check in is super easy, just scan your Qcode which is emailed to you or key in your details and likewise check out was fast as well…”
“…Prior to arrival, you receive an e-mail from the hotel asking for payment information, and once you submit it, you receive an e-mail with a QR code. You scan this QR code at one of the tablets at the entrance of the hotel to check in and to check out….”
We are happy to announce that Nordic Choice Hotels has decided to expand this self-service concept to a third property – the Comfort Xpress Hotel at Youngstorvet in Oslo. The service will go live in August this year, and it is once again delivered as a joint project by Ariane, Cenium.
Trivia – Comfort Xpress Youngstorvet was one of Ariane’s very first customers to implement our online check-in service in 2011. It was a combination of online and kiosks check-in and mobile keys provided by Openways. This made the hotel and Nordic Choice Hotels a true early adaptor and one of the most advanced self-service solutions ever delivered worldwide.
